FEEA Ready to Help Feds Affected by Haiti Earthquake

- The Federal Employee Education and Assistance
Fund (FEEA) announced its FEEA Natural Disaster
Fund is available to provide grant assistance
to civilian federal employees affected by
Tuesday’s devastating earthquake in Haiti. At this
time, FEEA is aware of 172 U.S. Embassy
employees and three CDC employees who were on
the island at the time of the quake. FEEA
does not currently have information on the
total number of U.S. employees who were working
in Haiti on Tuesday, nor do we have information
of any serious injuries or fatalities among
federal employees, however, property damage was
widespread and survivors are still being found
and attended to. Information on the FEEA web
site will be updated as
additional information is
received.
Federal employees needing
help can contact FEEA via website (www.feea.org) by clicking the “Get Help Now” button
at the top of the homepage; via e-mail to
emergency@feea.org; or via telephone at
1-800-323-4140. FEEA will provide grant
assistance based on need and available funds.

to the FEEA Natural Disaster Fund via credit
card at www.feea.org by following the “Give
Now” link at the top of the page or by calling
1-800-323-4140. Donations may also be made
via check made out to “FEEA Natural Disaster

In addition, the NARFE
Disaster Relief Fund is available to help
federal retiree members of the National Active
and Retired Federal Employees Association.
Donations can be made through the FEEA
web site or by check made out to “NARFE
Disaster Fund” and mailed to FEEA’s Lakewood,
CO, headquarters.
