President Brown Meets with Deputy Secretary of Defense William J. Lynn

This past Thursday, NFFE National President Richard N. Brown met with Deputy Secretary of Defense William Lynn at the Pentagon to discuss the future of the National Security Personnel System.

Along with partners in labor, President Brown urged Deputy Secretary Lynn not to stand in the way of a potential repeal of the much maligned personnel system:

“We appreciate your decision to review the system, however our position on NSPS has not changed – we will support nothing short of a complete repeal,” Brown said.

Also in attendance at the meeting were AFL-CIO President John Sweeney, Metal Trades Department President Ron Ault, and NAGE National President Dave Holway, among others.
