This week, National
President Dougan announced that David Stamey
will become NFFE’s newest National Business
Representative, filling the slot vacated by
now-National Assistant Directing Business
Representative James Davis.
Stamey, a 21 year veteran
of the federal workforce and 15 year NFFE
member, holds extensive labor relations
experience at the Local, Regional, and National
Levels. At his home Local of the National
Forests in North Carolina, NFFE Local 1563,
Stamey served as a Steward, Vice President, and
President. For the past three years, he has
served as the NFFE Forest Service Council’s
Region 8 Vice President.
“David Stamey was the
obvious choice for the job,” said Dougan
announcing his choice. “There is no doubt that
his vast experience representing NFFE members
will serve him well as he assumes his new
post.”
“I’m looking forward to
getting down to business,” said Stamey in
response to the announcement. “This is a
fantastic opportunity to work with, and for,
the NFFE membership.”
As of September
21st, Stamey will oversee servicing
of Locals throughout much of the Southeastern
U.S. and Puerto Rico.
