National Federation of Federal Employees Endorses Sen. John F. Kerry for President

Washington, D.C.—The nation's oldest union exclusively representing civil service federal employees, the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE), announced today its endorsement for the candidacy of Sen. John F. Kerry of Massachusetts for President of the United States.
"Senator Kerry has consistently supported
the interests and needs of federal sector
employees during his 22-year political career,"
said NFFE National President Richard N.
Brown.
"We are proud to offer Senator Kerry our
full support."
While the Bush administration has
attempted to dismantle the federal government
by under-funding the civil service and
outsourcing federal jobs, Kerry has vowed to
protect the federal workforce and strengthen
workers' rights. Pledging to fight the
current outsourcing of federal jobs, Sen. Kerry
told federal workers: "You do more for less,
and you do it better than anyone else.

More specifically, Senator Kerry opposed
the Bush administration's attempt to strip
millions of middle-class Americans of their
right to overtime pay through efforts to
rewrite overtime regulations. He also
supports mandatory funding at sufficient levels
for veterans' health care and the "rights of
workers to form and join unions, including
federal employees."
"At this juncture it is absolutely
critical that we elect a President who gives
federal workers the dignity and respect that
they deserve. We know Senator Kerry is
that candidate, and we will work to make sure
he is the next President of the
