Washington, DC – National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) National President/DBR Richard N. Brown will testify before the House Government Reform Committee tomorrow morning regarding the proposed merger of the Federal Technology Service (FTS) and the Federal Supply Service (FSS) within the General Services Administration (GSA).

As Brown will state tomorrow, NFFE's objection to this merger is two-fold:  management has made no direct contact with employees through their exclusive representative on this issue, and a fusion of agencies with such vastly different missions would be problematic for the agency and the government as a whole.

"This merger stands to affect approximately 7,000 employees and is set for implementation this summer, and management has not bothered to communicate with employee representatives on this issue.  This dismissive attitude by management is absolutely deplorable," said Brown.
