NFFE-IAM Wins Election at Mingo Job Corps Center
Wednesday, June 28, 2006
Puxico, Missouri — Monday, NFFE-IAM added a
new Jobs Corps Center (JCC) to our Forest
Service Council (FSC) after eligible employees
voted overwhelmingly in favor of unionizing and
becoming a part of NFFE-IAM.
Gary Johanson, NFFE Business Representative for the Midwest territory, Michael Krueger, Vice-President of the Job Corps FSC and Solomon Jones, President of the NFFE local at the Flatwoods, Virginia JCC, traveled to Mingo JCC to educate prospective members about the many benefits of NFFE-IAM membership.
“I would especially like to
thank key Mingo Job Corps employees,” said
Johanson. “They worked hard gathering
signatures and served as our points of contact
in Mingo. This whole thing would not have
been possible without them.”
Johanson will be returning to Mingo again soon to thank everyone involved for their hard work, answer additional questions about NFFE, and recruit more members.
On behalf of NFFE National, thank
you to all of our brothers and sisters who
worked hard to bring representation to Mingo
JCC. Their efforts will ensure that the
workers at Mingo will receive the highest level
of service and dedication.
