NFFE Recognized for Recent Organizing Success

Wednesday, September 19, 2007

Orlando, FL—The National Federation of Federal Employees was honored for its recent organizing success at this year’s IAM National Staff Conference in Orlando, FL.  NFFE was presented with a plaque recognizing the organization of 423 new members during the 12-month period leading up to the conference.

A successful campaign this year to organize General Services Administration (GSA) employees in the Atlanta, GA area was responsible for much of this increase, but a number of smaller groups around the country were organized as well.

“I’m very proud of all of NFFE’s business representatives, as well as many of our members, who have worked so hard during the last year to make building this union a priority,” said NFFE National President Richard N. Brown.  “Thanks to this effort, previously unrepresented workers are being given a voice in the workplace, and we are all part of a stronger union.”
