NFFE Wins Election to Represent Atlanta GSA Workers

(National Federation of Federal Employees)

Atlanta, GA - Months of hard work paid off this month when a majority of eligible General Services Administration (GSA) employees in Atlanta, GA voted in favor of representation by the National Federation of Federal Employees, IAMAW.  Professional and non-professional employees were eligible to vote in the election, and both previously unrepresented groups voted overwhelmingly to make NFFE-IAM their union.

A number of individuals played key roles in the successful campaign.  GSA Council President Jack Hanley, NFFE National Vice President Debbie Ransom, GSA Local Stewards Bill English, LaTannya Bell, Richard Warren, NFFE ADBR Bill Fenaughty, and Business Representative John Griffin all deserve a great deal of credit.  Through months of tireless dedication, these NFFE representatives talked to hundreds of potential members at GSA and successfully promoted the benefits of the union.

“This was a major victory, both for the GSA employees in the Atlanta region, and for NFFE as a whole,” said NFFE National President Richard N. Brown.  “I thank everyone involved in this campaign for their outstanding effort.  Their perseverance has given a voice to these employees, and I am eager to welcome them in to our union.”
