NFFE Welcomes Hundreds of New Members, Business Representative Roosevelt Littlejohn, to the Union

Through
recent discussions with the IAM, NFFE is proud
to announce that it will now represent
approximately 450 new members working in
various law enforcement capacities throughout
the Mid-Atlantic States.
The
majority of the members are prison guards who
work at the District of Columbia Correctional
Treatment Facility (DCCTF) here
in Washington, D.C. The remainder works at
the Elizabeth Detention Facility in Elizabeth,
New Jersey, as well as local police forces
throughout the state of
Pennsylvania.
NFFE
would also like to welcome Roosevelt
Littlejohn, an experienced Business
Representative who has spent years organizing
and representing service contract Locals.
Littlejohn will be servicing these new units as
well as various other Locals in the Capitol
region. He will be a key asset going forward as
NFFE begins to organize new service contract
units throughout the country.
Littlejohn brings with him over 20 years
of labor relations experience. A former prison
guard at the DCCTF, he formed his own union in
1987, which later became an affiliate of the
IAMAW. In 2005, Littlejohn was hired on as a
business representative by IAM District 98,
serving Locals throughout the mid-Atlantic
region.
Littlejohn, originally from Washington,
DC, now resides in Hyattsville, Maryland.
