Happy 93rd Birthday NFFE!
Friday, September 17, 2010(National Federation of Federal Employees)
On
Friday, September 17, NFFE celebrated its 93rd
year of fighting for federal workers. Ratifying
its constitution on this date in 1917, NFFE was
the first union to represent exclusively
non-postal federal employees.
Throughout our near century-long
existence, NFFE has played a major role in
nearly every significant federal workforce
policy: from the 40 hour work week to health
care benefits; and from retirement credit for
annual leave to health benefits for workers and
their families, NFFE has strived to make the
federal government the best workplace in the
nation.
Today,
we celebrate this proud history and look
forward to another 93 years of working for
America, every day. Happy Birthday
NFFE!
